1. Tölltorp Industrial Museum
Just north of Gnosjö is Tölltorp Industrial Museum, offering an insightful journey back in time to the Småland of the past. In the 18th and 19th centuries, the estates of Tölltorp Manor were home to several small factories that ran on hydropower. Here you can see how they made everything from trip hammers and metal sheeting to hairpins and chicken eyeglasses. Truly riveting stuff!

2. High Chaparral
A classic theme park that never gets old. Become part of the Wild West: rob a bank, pan for gold, fence with Zorro or simply enjoy all the amazing shows. High Chaparral is an experience for all the family, providing memories for life.

Store Mosse nationalpark

3. Store Mosse National Park
A national park that offers visitors almost 40 kilometres of hiking trails. Store Mosse is Sweden’s largest almost pristine raised bog south of Lapland. Wander through leafy, cultivated lands, cross pine-forested sand dunes or just stand in the middle of the bog and enjoy the quiet of the wilds.

4. Hylténs Industrial Museum
Småland is full of old cottage industries, places where beautiful handicrafts and everyday items were made. Hylténs metal factory was closed down in 1975, after a century of operation. Today, it’s a beautifully situated industrial museum with the foundry and workshops preserved for us to enjoy. In 2005, the museum was named Industrial Heritage Site of the Year by the Swedish Industrial Heritage Association.

Stall Sonakull)

5. Sonakull Stables
Why not try guided horse riding through the forests of Småland? A fun activity for both beginners and the more experienced. Spend the night within walking distance of the stables in a cosy holiday cottage or, for the more adventurous, choose the wilderness campsite nestled in the nearby forest.

6. Vandalorum
A few kilometres south of Hillerstorp lies Vandalorum, a contemporary museum showcasing both Swedish and international designers and artists. One of Vandalorum’s four barns houses the Småland Art Archive, featuring exhibitions focused mainly on artists with ties to Småland.

7. Scandinavian Raceway
Anderstorp motorbana, also known as Scandinavian Raceway, is a must for motoring enthusiasts. The track dates back to the 1960s and has hosted countless events. Check their events calendar so you can time your visit for a race festival or major meet.
